Manicure
Manicure treatment includes shaping and filing your natural nails, cuticle tidy and application of Vinylux polish/Creative play, cuticle oil therapy and massage.
Gel manicure starts like a regular nail treatment, including buffing, base coat of polish followed by a further two counts of gel or Shellac, and a final top coat to finish.
Pedicure
A pedicure is a therapeutic treatment for your feet that removes dead skin, softens hard skin and shapes and treats your toenails.
Pedicure treatment includes cutting and filing your toenails. Dead skin cells are rubbed off the bottom of the feet using a rough stone and files. Skin care is given to your feet by exfoliation, moisturising and massage.
Pedicures are a great way to ensure you look after your feet!
Pedicures can also soothe and relax you.
Waxing
Waxing is a fairly long-lasting method of hair removal – it can last from 3 to 6 weeks. The hair grows back more softer and sparser. If you wax consistently, waxing will change the growth cycle and physiology of your hair follicle. Continued waxing will also cause hair growth to diminish over time. It is the process of weakening the hair follicle with repeated treatment the hair growth reduces.
With warm wax the wax is spread over the area after which a paper strip is pressed over it to adhere to both the wax and hairs, and then pulled off removing the hairs in that area from the root. The warm wax is spread on your skin in the direction of your hair growth. Because it is applied and removed straight away, the warm wax can be used quickly and efficiently over large areas such as the legs, arms, etc.
The hot wax is a much thicker wax made up of plastics too to allow it to set hard. It is applied against the hair growth. The hot wax is applied to the skin, allowed to cool and set, and then pulled directly off without the use of a paper strip. As it takes a moment for hot wax to cool and set, this kind of wax is usually used over smaller areas for more efficient treatments times. Areas on the face like the upper lip as well as the bikini area are most commonly treated with hot wax.
